WHY CREATIVE PROGRAMMING?
Develop personal connections to computing, by drawing upon creativity, imagination, and interests, while emphasizing young people’s knowledge, practices, and fundamental literacies which they need to create the types of dynamic and interactive computational media that they enjoy in their daily lives.
Creative Programming prepares young people for more than careers as computer scientists or programmers and helps their development as computational thinkers/individuals who can draw on computational concepts, practices, and perspectives in all aspects of their lives.
WHY SCRATCH?
Scratch is an open source system that enables individuals to program interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch is an ideal tool for teaching kids how to program.
We use Scratch to introduce computing concepts in an easy way to concentrate on explains these concepts and their application in a simple way without getting distracted by syntax and formalities of programming languages.
