Ahmed Mekkawy

CTO at Spirula and co-founder of EGLUG (Egyptian GNU/Linux User Group) and Open Egypt. With a background in engineering, he started the first FOSS community in Alexandria in 2007. His career started as a system administrator and then a team leader, until he founded Spirula Systems in 2010. He worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for preparing the Egyptian government's FOSS adoption strategy.
